FOOL MOON TAROT

2024, Medium: Adobe Illustrator, InDesign

Fool Moon Tarot is product design practice.

It consists of a style guide, 22 Major Arcana cards, beginners’ guidebook, and packaging.

These are pictures of the first version of the card making process.

Which can be seen from the lack of the hypnotic pattern and gold trim on the back side of the card.

Although other than that, the process was basically the same.

To create the cards, I had to print the sides of the cards separately, cut them, glue them on blank tarot card paper, and used a corner cutter to make it flush with the card.

To say it was quite the time consuming effort, would be an understatement. Thought I learned the first time around not to try that, but due to time constraints it made more sense to do it again for the second version.

My favorite card redesigns were the Fool, Hierophant, Lovers, Wheel of Fortune, Justice, Death, Tower, Sun, and Judgement.

Brainstorming and Process

These are some of the sketches I drew to finalize the minimal designs for the Major Arcana.
